Give the Supreme Gift: Gratitude

It’s that time of year again . . .  The stockings are hung, the presents are wrapped (well . . . almost), the tree radiates with glittery lights and festive ornaments, and another treasured day of family tradition and memories waits right around the corner.

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of shopping, you may be consumed with trying to find the perfect gift: jewelry, a sweater, or perhaps that cool new electronic gadget of 2016. Whatever you give or receive, we’re all in agreement the water cooler chatter that first day back to work will most definitely center on the age-old question, “So what did you get?”

Perhaps it’s time to start a new, albeit – slightly unorthodox – tradition. Maybe it’s time to give the ultimate gift – love. Surprised? CPAs aren’t just about the numbers!

Think about those family members, friends, co-workers and special people who made you laugh and cry and gave you the gift of some of your most extraordinary “think-twice” moments.

What would your life be without your mother or father, best friend, partner, co-workers or children? Think about just one of those unforgettable moments that positively stopped you in your tracks this year. Write it down. And not even in some fancy, artsy or frame-able format. Just re-count the memory, and simply thank that person who made such an impact.

Thank him or her for being a part of your life. Express your appreciation. That gratitude represents the best gift.

At Patrick and Robinson CPAs, we’re grateful for you, our friends, clients and families…for simply being you…and trusting us with your tax, accounting, audit and assurance needs. Thank you for making us a small part of your life.

May the grace and peace of Christmas rest on you and your family this year and may you be blessed with peace, security and happiness in 2017.

We’re here for you. Contact us or (904) 396-5400.

Merry Christmas!
