Was this year your worst tax experience ever?

Think you suffered through an awful time dealing with your taxes this year? Well you’re not alone—one of the nation’s leading CPAs says it was the worst year ever…FOR THE CPAs!

The American Institute of CPAs President and CEO Barry Melancon says, based on feedback he’s heard, there’s a “90% chance” your CPA experienced the worst tax season of their careers this year.

“But I’m beginning to think the news may be worse than simply the worst tax season ever,” Melancon says. “I think it’s possible that the day is approaching, if 2013 wasn’t it, when every tax season will be worse than the one before.”

According to industry publication “CPA Trendlines,” the nation’s tax accountants failed to close the tax return completion gap commonly attributed to early-season delays and confusion, according to the latest data available.

Sounds pretty discouraging, but don’t give up; simply contact us. The partners and staff of Patrick & Robinson CPAs are constantly accessible, providing the advice you need to gain maximum advantage for your future.
